The Clark County Detention Center holds most of those who have been arrested in the area. Located at the corner of South Casino Center Blvd. and Lewis Street, it is the largest jail in the area. The second largest place of detention is Las Vegas Detention, also referred to as the City Jail. City Jail is located at 3300 E. Stewart and has plenty of parking available. The lobby is open 24 hours a day for the convenience of inquiring about those who have been arrested and detained there. Bail can be posted only between 8:00 a.m. and midnight. As with all the centers, the booking will usually take at least 4 hours and may take longer depending on the number of people who have been detained there. North Las Vegas Detention Center
The North Las Vegas Detention Center has been closed since 2012. All those who were detained in the north part of town have been transferred to a larger place of detention also known as City Jail. The correctional officers who worked there were either laid off or reassigned to other facilities.
Henderson Detention Center
Often referred to as a country club by inmates, the Henderson Detention Center uses a large staff of more than 110 employees. This center houses about 500 inmates and offers medical care, nursing, and dentistry. Contractual immigration and other government detention services are accessible at Henderson Detention.
